Lisa Hinrichs is a fiber and mixed media artist living in St. Louis\, MIssouri.  She has mastered felt making\, dye techniques\, painting and other fiber processes\, studying with some of the most talented teachers in the field over many years.  Her work is exhibited locally and nationally and has been included in various Fiber Art publications. Lisa holds a BS in Housing and Interior Design from the University of Missouri-Columbia and later studied Graphic Design at SLCC. While she has moved on from earlier careers in architecture and graphic design\, her love of a well designed structure or elegantly composed page find their way into her current work. DESCRIPTION:Our own Nancy Elliott was invited to speak at Creative Mornings.  This is a collection of creative people here in Columbia.  She is excited to share more about her craft. \nNancy Link Elliott has been an active member of the Columbia Weavers and Spinners’ Guild since 2010. \nOver the years\, she has served as a study group coordinator\, vice-president\, and president. Currently\, she volunteers as the marketing coordinator for the Guild’s Holiday Exhibition and Sale. \nNow retired\, Nancy dedicates much of her creative energy to fiber arts and bookmaking\, selling her creations at the Guild sale and Bluestem. \nShe studied art and biology in college and has had a diverse career encompassing lab work\, teaching\, nonprofit management\, and administrative support. \nOriginally from the outskirts of Chicago\, Nancy has lived across the US and spent a year in Tanzania. She will share parts of the tapestry and stories from participants. You will learn how you can participate and the future goals for the project. \nBrecia Kralovic-Logan is a creativity cultivator\, champion for women’s voices\, and nationally recognized fiber artist. She is the founder of the International Women’s Festival Pacific Northwest\, and a regional ambassador for the Global Art Project for Peace. Kralovic-Logan is the author of “The Spiral of Creativity-Mastering the Art of the Spirited Life.” She teaches and speaks at international art conferences. Her artwork has been exhibited nationally and is in the collections of museums and private collectors. Currently\, she promotes creativity\, community\, and compassion through the Women’s Woven Voices project – an international collaborative fiber art project that promotes women’s empowerment through writing\, weaving\, and sharing their stories. DESCRIPTION:Deb Wilson and Tricia Kauffman will host the program and discuss their Fiber U experiences. .   Fiber U is in Lebanon\, Mo. each summer and has a plethora of classes\, displays and vendors to satisfy your fiber wants and needs.  The favorite class for these gals was How to Make a Gnome so we will be doing a Make and Take at the November meeting.  Bring your needle felting supplies if you have some.  Materials will be supplied for those who do not.  It is all about having fun with old and new friends. \nDeb Wilson \nTricia Kaufmann
