Sept. Meeting – What Did You Do This Summer?

Loading Events

Join us for the first meeting of the year! Fall is a time of celebrating the fruits of summer labors, be they gardens or fiber endeavors. Bring projects and reports of fiber related travels to celebrate and share. This year’s challenge will be introduced.

Challenge Theme for 2019-2020    “Time After Time”

“Scientifically speaking, time is simply the presence of motion and forces. Psychologically speaking, time is the perception of temporal experience. Personally speaking, time is simply yours: whatever it is and whatever you want it to be. Time is so personal, so much a part of us, that it can never be a “thing”that we measure, stop, save, chase, or —heaven forbid —kill. Time exists inclusive of our feelings about it.“ (From Creating Time by Marney K. Makridakis)

What does time mean to you?  How do you plan your time? How can you represent the change of time?  What would your artistic timeline look like?

This year we challenge you to create a representation of what time means to you.
